Device Clinic

The Heart Center of North Texas provides follow-up services for several cardiac monitoring devices. We provide services for the following devices:

  • Pacemakers
  • Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICDs)
  • Loop Monitor
  • Holter Monitor
  • Event Monitor

Pacemakers/Defibrillators

Device checks for pacemakers and defibrillators are non-invasively performed in the office by trained personnel.

A loop monitor is an implantable device that records and reports heart rhythms. Loop monitors upload device information daily from the patient's home if the provided equipment is set-up and functional.

Holter Monitor

A Holter Monitor is an external battery-operated portable device that records your heart's activity continuously for a designated amount of time.

Event Monitor

An Event Monitor is an external battery-operated device that records your heart's activity when the patient activates the system to record the rhythm during the event.
