Lon A. Walder, D.O., F.C.C.P.,
F.A.C.C., Doctor of Cardiology
for Heart Center of North Texas
graduated from the University of
Tulsa in Oklahoma and continued
his medical education at the
Oklahoma College of Osteopathic
Medicine and Surgery.
Doctor Walder trained at the
Osteopathic Hospital of Maine as
an Intern, preceded by Residency
and Fellowship in Cardiovascular
Diseases at St. Vincent Hospital
in Worcester Massachusetts.
During his fellowship he shared
his knowledge as an Instructor
of a Advanced Paramedic course
at Quinsigamond Community
College, an Instructor of Basic
Electrocardiography and Physical
Diagnosis at University of
Massachusetts Medical School,
and instructed a basic EMT
course at Clark University.
He is a board certified
diplomate of the National Board
of Osteopathic Medical
Examiners, and certified by the
American Board of Internal
Medicine in Internal Medicine,
Cardiovascular Disease, and the
added qualification in
Interventional Cardiology. His
professional society memberships
include the American Medical
Association, the American
College of Physicians, and the
American Osteopathic
Association. He currently holds
fellow status with the American
College of Chest Physicians and
the American College of
Cardiology, American College of
Osteopathic Internists. Dr.
Walder is appointed Direction of
Cardiac Catheterization
Laboratory, and Director of
Interventional Cardiology at
Plaza Medical Center. He was
elected as one of Fort Worth’s
“Top Doc’s” in ’05 and ’07. |
