Stephen D. Newman, M.D., F.A.C.C.,
F.A.H.A., graduated from Austin
College with a major in Biology
and pursued his medical
education at the University of
Texas Medical Branch in
Galveston Texas. He completed
his residency in Internal
Medicine and Cardiovascular
Disease fellowship at the
University of Texas Medical
Branch.
Doctor Newman is a board
certified Diplomate in
Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear
Cardiology and Forensic
Medicine. He is a fellow of the
American College of Cardiology
and Regional Counselor for the
Texas Chapter of the American
College of Cardiology from 2004
through 2007. He is a Fellow and
member of the American Heart
Association’s Council on
Clinical Cardiology. He is a
member of the Committee on
Government Relations and
Community-Based Practice for the
American Society of Nuclear
Cardiology. He is an Adjunct
Assistant Clinical Professor at
the University of Texas School
of Nursing in Arlington Texas.
His professional interest is in
Diagnostic and Preventive
Cardiovascular Medicine and
Imaging. He is Medical Director
of Imaging at Heart Center of
North Texas and his interest is
in Adult Stress Echo, Nuclear
Myocardid Perfusion Imaging,
Vascular Imaging, and CT
Angiography. He was listed in
Fort Worth’s Top Doc’s for
Cardiology in 2005 and 2007 and
America’s Top Physicians in
Cardiology by Consumer’s
Research Council in 2006. He has
appeared on WBAP talk radio and
Channel 8 WFAA Good Morning
Texas in 2007 regarding
preventive cardiovascular
